Sri Lanka Wood Pigeon (Columba torringtoniae)

It is a resident breeding bird that lives in the mountainous regions of the country. Rarely seen in the lowland rainforests mostly during the fruit bearing seasons. Found to frequent dense forests and heavily wooded home gardens. This bird can be observed in the Hakgala Botanic Gardens and the Riverstone Area.
